Guess the Song from a Split-Second Clip
How little of a song do you actually need to recognise it? Sometimes a tenth of a second is enough.
How the music quiz works
Each round plays a tiny sliver of a track. Type the title into the search box — matching is forgiving about punctuation and small typos. Can't get it? Reveal the next stage for a longer clip: about 0.1 s, then 0.5 s, then 2 s, then 7 s. Every wrong guess and every extra clip costs points, so the goal is to name that tune as early as you dare.
Endless streaks and leaderboards
The default mode is Endless: song after song, no levels, three attempts each. Miss one and the streak resets. Your current streak and your average “seconds of audio needed” are tracked, and the longest streaks land on a public leaderboard — under a nickname, no real name required.
Difficulty that ramps up fairly
Songs are weighted by how widely known they are. Early rounds lean on the biggest hits; deeper into a streak the catalogue gets more obscure. There are five difficulty bands from Easy to Extreme, and a Rising Round mode that walks you through all five.
Play with friends
Marathon mode turns the song quiz into a live race: a fixed run of rounds, a clock on every level, up to five players in a lobby, private by code or public to anyone. Same songs for everyone, scored on speed.
Frequently asked questions
How short are the audio clips?
The first clip is about a tenth of a second. If you can't place it, you can reveal more — roughly half a second, then two seconds, then seven. The faster you name it, the more points you keep.
Where do the songs come from?
Around two thousand well-known tracks, pulled from public Deezer editorial playlists across pop, rock, hip hop and more, spanning the 1970s to today. Only 30-second preview clips are used.
Is it single player or multiplayer?
The endless music quiz is single player: one song at a time, build the longest streak you can. There is also a Marathon mode you can play solo or live in a lobby with friends.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no email. Your streak and stats are kept on your device with two strictly necessary cookies (game progress and language).
Is it free?
Yes, completely free. No ads, no paywalls, no in-app purchases.
